‘Moana’ first birthday party: diy floral number

Miss Mack will be 1 on Saturday 😭, her party is sunday and since she loves Moana I decided to make that the ‘theme’. After scouring Pinterest, I decided to make a number to hang above her chair.

First I cut out a 1 out of a old box. As you can see Mack was supervising.

Then I went to the dollar store and got some green tissue paper. I folded and cut the sheets to be about a 5″ square.

Then I put over my hand and pushed in the middle, giving it a twist.

Next I hot glued them all over the cardboard.

And more glueing..

Ta da! But I wasn’t done yet. I went back to the dollar store to get some fake flowers.

I cut some and placed randomly around deciding where to put them. Next I just glued them down too.

It was so easy and cheap to make! Cost maybe $6. I didn’t use all of the tissue paper or the flowers either.
